Elsas Kopje is unlike other Kenya safari camps. Gasp-worthy open plan cottages and the private house set a new level for romance. The camp is cleverly constructed so as to be almost invisible from the front and many natural features have been incorporated into the unique design and décor. The main building has a bar, lounge and dining room as well as a beautiful horizon pool overlooking the plains of Meru. Elsas Kopje runs on a combination of generator power and solar inverter batteries. Bottled water is provided.
There are 9 en-suite cottages that are built into the curve of the rocks on Mughwango Hill. Each suite has an open-front design with views from many angles and comprises of a main bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a private deck.
Some suites have an outdoor bath and one suite has a sitting room instead of a deck. Four suites can accommodate an extra bed while one suite can fit 2 extra beds for children under the age of 16 years. A maximum of 4 extra beds can be arranged in camp at any one time.
This delightful retreat is built over 3 levels and includes a sitting room, private deck, spacious bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. This suite can be converted into a family cottage to accommodate 2 extra beds for children under the age of 16 years.
This stylish and exclusive home is set slightly apart from the main lodge and has a private garden and pool. The house comprises of an open master bedroom (with a dreamy en-suite bathroom and dressing room) and a twin en-suite bedroom plus spacious living and dining areas which open seamlessly onto the pool and garden.
