Your luxury holiday in Kenya at Finch Hattons Camp is defined by daily game drives, escorted nature walks and interesting excursions. Sundowners and bush breakfasts are also offered as part of the safari experience.
Tsavo West National Park is a pristine wilderness with natural springs, riverine and montane forest and open grasslands. The hills are characterised by a lava outcrop which is dotted with caves - a reminder of the Tsavo’s volcanic beginnings.
On game drives keep a look out for the famed Tsavo Elephants as well as Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffe, Eland, Wildebeest and Hartebeest, Impala, Bushbuck and much more. Birdwatchers will find there are around 200 recorded bird species especially near the camp.
From Finch Hattons Camp you can enjoy an excursion to Mzima Springs which is just an hour’s drive away. Wildlife is drawn to this natural oasis and it is home to Crocodile, Hippo, Barbel and Catfish. An underwater observatory provides a unique opportunity to view life under the crystal clear waters.
Another excursion arranged on request is a day trip to Amboseli National Park. After a 2.5 hour drive you will be in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) at Amboseli (Kenya). The park is small by comparison but it is also well known for its enormous Elephant herds. Postcard images of Elephants with the mountain in the background are usually taken in Amboseli.
