Kenya travel arrangements to Lake Victoria can be structured in different ways to suit your holiday plans. Mfangano Island Camp has its own grass airstrip for private air charters or there is an airport at Kisumu for Nairobi flight connections.

By Air
Please note that small light aircraft have strict luggage restrictions: 15kg (33 pounds) per person which includes hand luggage.
Option 1: Combine a daily 40 minute charter flight from a camp of your choice in the Masai Mara, with a boat transfer over the lake to the camp which takes about 20 minutes.
Option 2: Combine a 45 minute scheduled flight from Nairobi to Kisumu and then either take a 10 minute charter flight or a 3 hour boat transfer to the camp.
By Road
If you depart from Nairobi it will take about 6 hours to drive to Mbita (Lake Victoria), after which you be will transferred by boat to the camp which takes about 45 minutes.
