Getting to Saruni Samburu, Samburu National Reserve

The Samburu National Reserve in the North of the country attracts fewer tourists than the Mara, making it a great destination to escape the crowds during your safari holidays in Kenya.

The Saruni Samburu Lodge is situated on top of the Kalama Mountains and has endless views over northern Kenya all the way to Mount Kenya. The lodge is built on the private Kalama Wildlife Conservancy meaning you will enjoy exclusive sightings during your safari holidays in Kenya. The Lodge is just a 20 minute drive away from the Samburu National Reserve which is known for its many Elephants.

Samburu in northern Kenya is a wilderness area. It is made up of many ranches, conservancies and national parks. These are unfenced allowing for the movement of wildlife over a vast area. The landscape is dry and is dominated by thorny acacia trees and a wide variety of species. The region is also home to the Samburu people who are known for their beautiful style of dress.
