Tawi Lodge is located on a private conservancy of 3 000 acres. The conservancy, together with African Wildlife Foundation, promotes the development of both the wildlife found in the community-run conservancy as well as the local Maasai people residing between Amboseli and Chyulu Hills.
Situated in an ideal game viewing spot, Amboseli National Park is home to over 50 mammal species, including elephants, hippos, black rhinos, games plain like impala and gazelles, as well as carnivores like spotted hyenas, lions and caracals. Baboons and vervet monkeys occupy the woodlands while the elephants and hippos enjoy the papyrus-decorated swamps.
Tawi Lodge is located a short 5-minute drive from the Kimana Gate, which allows entry into Amboseli National Park for a superb Kenya safari.
This Kenya safari lodge is in the prime position to enjoy wildlife and bird viewing. The resident elephants are a sight to look forward to during your stay at the lodge. Indulge in traditional cuisine and allow your taste buds to be tantalized by the Swahili Coast spices. Enjoy sundowners or post-dinner drinks at the bush bar, while you watch as the sun disappears into the horizon and is replaced by a ceiling of sparkling stars.
