This is a private wilderness area of 30 000 hectares that forms part of the Mara ecosystem. It is adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The land is leased from the Maasai who own it. It is home to abundant African wildlife. The famed Great Migration passes through the conservancy between July and November every year. There are fewer tourists in the conservancy than in the Reserve and the wildlife sightings are excellent.
There are daily scheduled flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Mara North (Buffalo) Airstrip. You can also catch a privately chartered flight. One of the guides from the lodge will meet you and drive you to the camp – a mini game drive to start your safari.
