The Porini Mara Camp is situated in the Ol Kinyei private conservancy bordering the Masai Mara Kenya. Accommodation is offered in deluxe tented safari suites which are situated on a scenic stretch of the Laetoli River. Being a conservancy means that guests have the freedom to explore the region, not just on game drives, but to experience Africa on foot during a bush walk. These are led by local Maasai guides who know the region intimately.
Spend a full day out in the Conservancy and the Masai Mara National Reserve discovering Africa's incredible wildlife. Enjoy a picnic and a rest under an Acacia tree in the warm afternoon before the adventure continues. Take in the spectacular sunset while sipping on an ice-cold cocktail or beer.
Return to the lodge and savour a delicious safari meal. Being out in the open air all day works up an appetite which the chef is more than able to satisfy. In the morning set out on foot. There is no more thrilling way to explore the savannahs than walking among the wildlife. Learn about this ecosystem and the basics of tracking and bush survival. In the evenings night game drives allow guests to discover the regions nocturnally active animals.
