The Serain Camp is a traditional bush camp situated on the banks of the Mara River in the Mara North Conservancy. The Mara is where the annual Great Migration of the Wildebeest culminates every year and the game viewing in the area is excellent. This traditional Kenyan safari camp has a wonderful colonial feel to it with spacious tents pitched on wide wooden decks.
While staying at Serain guests can explore the savannah plains of the Mara on game drives in the company of experienced local Maasai guides and trackers or experience Africa the way our ancestors did - on foot. These walking safaris are a wonderful way to learn about the ecosystems of the bush and spot some of the regions smaller creatures on your East African safari.
Serain is also a base from which Hot Air Balloon Safaris are done. Set out before dawn to the balloon and take to the air as the sun crests above the horizon. There can be no more tranquil way of game viewing than floating above the rolling plains, taking in the endless views and spotting wildlife scattered across the plains.
